CASMED employees – less vulnerable to the COVID pandemic

The COVID-19 crisis puts pressure on the activity of CASMED employees, being exposed to the risk of infection with the COVID-19 virus, while visiting the beneficiaries to take care of them at home. In order to protect the safety and health of beneficiaries, employees and individuals and legal entities with which the association has collaborative relationships, on December 16-18 there were organized online and offline training with the title “Methods of prevention against COVID-19 virus infection ”, organized within the project:“ COVID-19: Resilience and Sustainability of Civil Society ”, implemented by ERIM (former IREX Europe), with the financial support of the European Union.

More than 60 employees (nurses, social workers, caregivers, volunteers, etc.) found out what are the transmission factors and the period of contagion, what are the conditions that make you more vulnerable to COVID-19 infection, what measures do they need to take to protect themself, to protect others, how to act if you have symptoms or are confirmed with COVID-19.

“Training employees on occupational safety and health measures in the context to combat COVID-19 will help keep the business safe and healthy, while help them to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 disease,” it is important to support the organization’s employees to be less vulnerable to the disease, considers Mrs. Ala Brânză, the coordinator of the care department.

According to Mrs. Maria Bîrcă, social worker, the training session was useful and interesting. “I sincerely thank the trainers for organizing the training dedicated to us, the employees, so that we feel more protected and more confident in the face of the pandemic. Today we learned a lot of useful information, how to properly protect ourselves. We will gladly share the knowledge gained with our beneficiaries, because they suffered the most in the conditions of isolation. “
