Dear friends,

We are delighted to announce that registration is now officially open for the 9th edition of the “Bunica și Bunelul Fest” Festival 2026.

If you are 55 years of age or over, we warmly invite you to become part of an event that celebrates life experience, talent, creativity, and traditions passed down from generation to generation. The Festival is dedicated to older adults who inspire others through who they are and what they do.

Registration is open from 1 to 15 August 2026. Participants are welcome to register for one or more of the Festival’s online activities, according to their interests and talents.

What activities await you?

This year, “Bunica și Bunelul Fest” once again shines a spotlight on inspiring people, remarkable stories, and exceptional talents. You may take part in one or several of the following activities:

• Miss & Mister Bunica și Bunelul: Seniors Who Inspire – a competition for couples who demonstrate that love, mutual respect, and support grow stronger with the passing of the years.
• On the Wings of Dance – for those who wish to share the joy of dancing and the energy expressed through every step.
• The Song in Our Hearts – for participants who enjoy music and would like to share the emotion of a vocal or instrumental performance.
• The Beauty of the Silver Years – a photo exhibition celebrating the beauty, dignity, and active involvement of older adults within their families and communities.
• What Skilled Hands Can Make – a handmade exhibition showcasing creativity, craftsmanship, and traditional skills.
• A Taste of Childhood: Family Recipes and Autumn Dishes – for those wishing to share cherished family recipes and culinary traditions passed down through generations.
• The Health Formula: Simple Habits for an Active Life – an activity promoting healthy habits and an active lifestyle.

How can you register?

Complete the online Registration Form by 15 August 2026. After registering, please submit the required materials for your chosen activity by 22 August 2026 to bunicafest@gmail.com.

If you require assistance in preparing your photographs or videos, we encourage you to consult the Visual Guide for Participants, specially developed for this edition of the Festival.

Validated submissions will be promoted during the Festival’s online stage, while the finalists will be announced on 16 September 2026.

The Festival’s grand finale will take place on 20 September 2026 in Bălți, bringing together finalists, participants, and members of the public for a memorable celebration filled with music, dance, exhibitions, creativity, and unforgettable moments.
